Prepare for competition robotics in this hands-on, educational program designed to prepare students for the equipment and interfaces they'll use in future competition robotics programs. During these sessions, students will dive into robot design, programming, and problem-solving with LEGO Spike Prime kits and Word Blocks.
The Aspen Science Center and Aspen Education Foundation is eager to announce the Fall 2025 Competition Robotics Prep program. This program is for 3rd and 4th graders interested in robotics, coding, STEM, and / or LEGOs! It will prepare students to join the competition robotics club in middle school. Participants will go through an 8-session intensive course learning competition level robot building and coding techniques.
Key Dates
Quarter 1 August 20th - October 8th. Wednesdays at 1:45pm-3:45pm.
Quarter 2 October 22nd - December 17th. Wednesdays at 1:45pm-3:45pm. No class November 26th.
Due to program demand, to give a fair chance for all participants to sign up we will be implementing a sign-up window of which all participants are waitlisted and picked lottery style. Once picked, participants will receive a confirmation email and a registration link for the class.
Cost and Scholarships
The cost for a spot in the after-school program is $180. Equipment will be provided along with 16 total lecture hours. Full and partial scholarships are available so please fill the checkbox in the form if scholarship is needed. Participants that are eligible for a scholarship will receive a code to enter into the registration portal during sign up.
